Another email casualty

Of the many emails that ping into my inbox each day you can usually categorise them into three groups.

1. Urgent - needs my immediate attention
2. Could be interesting - worth looking at
3. Boring - only fit for deletion

One that has just popped up this morning fell into the 'could be interesting' category. It was headed up 'Temperatures rise as Casualty star collects Alfa Romeo'.

It was the words 'Casualty' and 'star' that caught my attention not the mention of Alfa Romeo, not that I have got anything against Alfa Romeo they produce some jolly nice cars.

On a slow news week and with extremely tight Bank Holiday deadlines I thought it was at least worth looking at.

Closer examination revealed that it was a press release telling me that 'Casualty star Claire Goose, (32), raised temperatures this week when she collected her brand new Alfa Romeo.'

So, I really wanted to know that and the fact that the garage she received her car from is absolutely no where near our circulation area makes the story complete nonsense as far as I am concerned.

Suffice to say it will not be appearing in next week's Gazette but, just for the hell of it I thought I would post the picture up of Claire with her gleaming new Alfa - for anyone who might be remotely interested.
